Already?!

So...we have been here for three weeks now and today we had our first encounter with midwest weather. A sudden darkness took over Manhattan and brought 80 mph winds, pouring down rain, complete town power outage and tree limbs everywhere! I was out running errands and was caught in the first 10 minutes of the storm trying to make it to Todd's work. Needless to say, I was terrified and soaking wet once I ran up the sidewalk and made it inside the coliseum! I was hoping I wouldn't have to encounter this tornado-like weather until spring. I'd rather tackle a freezing cold winter first! With no power back at our place, we went out to find a restaurant that had some and ate at a great staple here in Manhattan. Kite's. It was sunny with clear skies by this time (about 20 minutes after the storm stopped!)

All is well now, power is back on and we had no trees down around our place! Hope the rest of the weekend is beautiful!
